what do you want to revolutionize, baby?
danielle laporte is the coolest person on the internet. her burning question series is bomb. go drool over her magma-deep wisdom & fire, will ya?
this week's question: what do you want to revolutionize?
my answer: connection to the truth. siempre. your gut's truth. the global truth. your body's truth. your partner's truth. existential truth. practical truth.
everything i do boils down to this: i want to revolutionize the way we humans relate to what's right in front of us, asking to be seen, known, acknowledged.
it's broad, personal, applicable, universal.
if you let yourself connect to the truth that's right in front of you without shying away or backing down, what would be possible?
how might the world shift if we were able to open--despite our fears or anxieties or disposition for ease--and be with the mighty truth of everything?
can we trade perceived comfort for deep alignment? can we willingly look into the light and into the dark without closing our eyes or running away? can we be with all that is, long and deep enough to know how we truly want to respond?
may i do my part instigating a wild YES from myself & the masses.
YES to the glory gory realities of life.
YES to discomfort and to euphoria.
YES to the only things we can actually guarantee--change, surrender, loss, mystery, desire.
YES to this life, this existence, this deep longing to embody a reflection of the world's wondrous expression of love.
and may i begin right here, in this body, this life, this home, this temple, this relationship, this heart, this mind.
it's a tall order and i'm practicing every day. painstaking and free-seeking. lust and loss. impulse and insight. regret and revival.
truth excludes nothing.
may we live every edge, bend and breakthrough of our humanness.
may we discover, together, the sustenance of liberation--the vitality born from digesting the moment, full tilt.
and you? what do you want to revolutionize, sweet soul?

I think my deepest desire is for truth, too. All kinds of truth - I want to know how things are, and not run away from it. I want to be able to "flow" with my experience, not resisting it in any way. Long way to go, but that's my goal! :) Maybe what I want to revolutionize then is to help others do that, too? I also want to help create beauty. Yes, please.
I found you via Daniell's burning question - I am so interested in seeing how others answered this particular question! wow! I love your post. So many miss out on the blessings from claiming their own truth... and ignoring it to do other things against the nature of their own truth. Beautiful post!
